So, if my son acts up at school, they will take him away for 2 days. I vote yes. Florida is really on to something positive here.

I'd want to know more about what the girl did. How destructive was she? How much injury did inflict on others at the school?
A six year old child can cause a surprisingly high level of harm to others if she's good and mad.

Do you seriously believe their could be any justification for having a 6 year old mentally challenged child taken away by the police? Thank goodness the female officer was caring and compassionate.

The child already has a diagnosis of ADHD - at least that's what I thought I heard in the video. There could easily be a more serious problem underlying this which might need intervention NOW. Not when the little angel stabs a classmate with her scissors. Yes, I'm engaging in hyberbole. My point is that the story lacks enough facts to draw a certain conclusion yet.

I agree, way too little information.

As sad as this is, the answer is yes. Tell me which bleeds more, a stab wound from a 6 year old and an 18 year old, and a mentally challenged child still needs to be addressed. And before you say these things don't happen you need to talk to lots of elementary school teachers. I personally know of a child that has stabbed several other children and a vice principal with a sharpened pencil and it has been kept as quiet a possible. As for the girl in Florida we don't know the whole story.

If we were disruptive at 6 years old on day 1. We were little angels on day 2. Because day1 we were paddled for the disruption. The paddle worked every time.

Parkland would not use the Baker Act to send the Parkland shooter for mental evaluation. If would have hurt their disciplinary stats. So he killed 17 people. But their stats look good.

As a vice principal I have seen 6 year olds go crazy. Each state has different laws. I am allowed by law to restrain a student if they are a threat to themselves or others. We use SAMA, which is trying to talk them down first but in a serious situation we restrain. Florida may not allow admin to do that and they had to have had an LEO.

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL Yep you think it's funny, bet you wouldn't if you wife came home with a bruise on her face from a 2nd grader slapping her. And nothing could be done because she was "special needs". You need to go volunteer in some public schools to see what is actually going on with the little angles.
