I was at work and at a customers home. I noticed a boat in the driveway and a kayak on the side of their house. While talking to my customer I asked if her and her husband fished much. She said her husband used to fish a lot but has been so busy that he hasn't taken the boat out in 2 years. Then she asked me if I fished. I said, every time I get the opportunity to go I am on the water. I then told her how I gave my little Bass Buster to my son-in-law for Christmas. Him and his son have way more free time than I do and they always just fish from the bank so I gave ot to them both. She then asks what do I fish out of since I gave my little boat away. I replied, I'm looking for a good deal on another boat and something a little bigger so I could take more than one of my children at a time. She then says, well it's kinda crazy because my husband and I just talked last night about getting rid of his boat. So she tells me a little about it and I asked how much they wanted for it. She said, Jimmye if you want it you can have it for FREE. I thought she was joking at first and she wasn't. Then I figured they didn't have the title's, but they did. I told her I would feel guilty taking a boat for free and asked if I could at least pay them something. Her respinse was we just want it to go to someone that will use it and get as much enjoyment out of it as my husband and son did. I agreedvto pick it up yesterday and kept thinking she would call or text saying they changed their mind but she never did. I licked it up yesterday, transferred it all into my name and got the trailer done also. I am still in disbelief even though it's in my shop right now. There are still some very nice people in this world. I pucked up a $100 gift card to 6 different restaurants and a big heart shaped box of chocolates. She didn't want either of them. I told her I would not take the boat unless she took these 2 little things. She reluctantly took them and she swore that they just wanted someone to have the boat and use it. I think I gave her more hugs than I probably should have but I was extremely happy. I've never had anyone give me anything other than a hard time. Just wanted to share my story with my TFF family.

Sounds like it was important to them that you use it. Send pics frequently of you and the kids out on the boat. That will be better than anything you could pay.

Congratulations. A very generous gift for sure. A little crappie slime will make her shine once again. thumb

Congratulations on a nice boat. I bet they would enjoy some fresh fillets every once in a while more then anything else.

PS: If you are looking for the batteries they are located under the seats.

Thanks everyone. I've been cleaning it up and got her running. Runs like a top too. The batteries are actually in the rear compartment. 24 volt foot controlled TM, Little Lowrance 5 DSI, 2 brand new tires they put on less than a year ago and one of the 3 batteries are new.
