I bought a brand new boat a little over a year ago. 2019 yamaha 115vmax 4 stroke. Put 7 hrs on the motor. So it isn't even broke in yet. I threw my back out and had to have surgery so it's been sitting for exactly one year. I'm finally ready to get back on the water. It's been stored in a completely enclosed garage. It has stabil and ring free in the gas. I was just wondering if there was any precautions I should take before taking it out and running her. I thought about siphoning the gas and pulling the spark plugs and spray some fogging oil. Is that necessary?

Add fresh gas to the tank if it isn't full. Go run it according to manual break in procedures. Try and run as much gas out as you can. Then refill and change fuel filter. Smart move storing in the garage!

After starting it, I would then inspect the impeller for damage, or just go ahead and replace it.
