Hey y 'all I'm looking to purchase a fish thumper since I don't have the time to make one. I was wondering if y 'all had some good recommendations and could point me in the right direction, thanks!

I run one of his, as do a lot of guides on Texoma and various other lakes. The remote control set up is extremely convenient. I would 100% recommend going through him.

I purchased mine from Bobo's Thumper and love it. To my knowledge, Jeff's been building/designing thumpers for quite a while and has done extensive R&D. See thread "Whitney Double Thump Jan 19-20" on page 2 or 3 for just a sampling of the success we've had. Good luck!

I have one of the first ones he built and it is still working like it did on day one. I like the fact it has no plywood and such on the frame, the hammer handle is the only wood in it.

I have a Bobo thumper, I like the construction of this thumper. Solid You can buy them with remote. I had a spare switch on the dashboard so I use that

Good luck finding one. Several mentioned sound like good dependable products. I on the other hand have enough time to build my own. Does anyone have an opinion which hammer to use to create the best vibration. I have seen everything from a small rubber mallet to a large one, a ball peen hammer, a meat tenderizer and some others. Does it make much difference?

I don’t think it makes a difference. I have used both the rubber mallet and the steel ball poem and think they work the same.

I bought a Bobo’s thumper today and used it at Bridgeport and it worked great in first five minutes and we caught sand bass until we were tired of catching them. Used slabs at 25 ft fishing 49 ft of water off a point. Great product Jeff. Thanks Heath
