[b][/b]The Ray Hubbard Bass Cub held our first members only tournament of 2020 on Saturday February 8th on Lake Bob Sandlin. The up and down February weather was up for us. Chilly to start the day, but lots of sun later with a brisk wind blowing to get the fish active. Water temps were between 49-53 but the fish bit pretty well despite the cold water. Cabin fever had set in for most of our members and 42 boats came out to fish the season opener. When it was over, the team of Jim Harcrow and Casey Gaskil won the day with a huge bag weighing 24.52 pounds. Their kicker fish was a 7.86 brute. That fish was only fourth largest on the day. Doug Rener and Andy Medina brought big bass to the scales weighing 9.13 pounds! Here are full results and pictures.

Their bag was anchored by big bass of the tournament, a 9.13 GIANT! A real one... Beautiful fish!

Returning to the fold this year is Jeff Cartwright. He fished with guest Jay Messersmith and weighed a big bag of 21.74 to get third place

[Linked Image]

They led big bass for quite a while with this 8.92 beast

[Linked Image]

Finishing second with a great bag of 23.58 were Garrett Macias and Bobby Finta

Here's Bobby with their kicker, an 8.50 toad

[Linked Image]

Here are your winners! Jim Harcrow and Casey Gaskin weighed in a monster Sandlin bag of 24.52 to take the win

Their bag was anchored by a 7.86, and two other fish that could anchor any bag. Congratulations guys!

Thank you to my partner Chris Atkinson for checking live wells. Thanks to Cameron Laing for doling out the money. Thanks to Paul Spann and David Choate for getting the fish weighed in a timely manner. Thanks to everyone who came out and kicked off the 2020 RHBC year! Our next tournament is Saturday March 14th on Lake Palestine. Registration and weigh in will be at Lake Palestine Resort. See you there!
