Hello from 32,000 feet over the Atlantic, just off the southern tip of Greenland. One the way out last Saturday there was an enormous tailwind and we had a ground speed of over 800 mph. Isn’t technology insane?

Nice!! I always enjoy being on an aircraft where I can track my location! Was on one recently where you can even view "downwards and forwards"!! I watched my house go by when we landed!

Glad it wasn't a head wind, you would have stalled out.

Were you on that flight that set the new NY to London record last week?

No I was Houston to Amsterdam, but in the air about the same time. I think my plane just missed the record speed.

Are you bringing back any 'goodies' that you can share with the 'class'?

Neat. It's nice when you have a good tail wind. Sucks when you're coming back though and have a strong head wind.
