What is the best species to target this time of year, and what area is best to fish?

Thanks in advance

Way too broad a question...
Boat?
If so what kind?
There's 360 miles of coast, completely different top to bottom.

If you have a boat you can find reds and trout on the flats. Water temp is usually mid 60's so still waders water (at least for me). If you're surf or jetty fishing you may find a few sheephead still around the jetties but reds should be in both locations. Wind is usually an issue. Prepare for it.

Port O' Connor jetties should be good, the trick will be what the wind is doing, you need an instant plan B when it's pumping hard out of the East/S East.
