dang I miss hanging out with Doug, I was all ears. this is a nice reel, I have a couple. Doug never got the credit he deserved. He was a genius inventor ... who like a little vodka cranberry every now and again.  He was an interesting person to hang with. I always enjoyed conversations with Doug.

Color me stupid. I was just looking at the box and noticed Doug did sign this one as well (it was just a little faded). Sorry, I'm bidding on my own auction item now. I bid $100 to keep it. Money goes towards getting the Billy Dyson Foundation up and running, so what the heck. Really neat story JP.
I've seen one of the prototypes down a Tony's place in Seguin. Never got the chance to meet the Gentleman, but I bet I could listen to his stories for hours.

Dang homie. I was gonna go in at $125. Good on you though! If I recall that design was supposed to eliminate line twist on spinning reels by "ticking" the line as it passed over the spool. Bass Pro made a knock off. It never really caught on so I thought it was a gimmick but I would love to own one and give it a whirl. Back up bid $125 lol
