What are some good brands and models?
I was looking at a Leatherman that was in the $160 range and thats just too high for me.
I already have two and im looking for a couple more for my range bag and one to keep in my truck

I like to have one available when camping/fishing but really haven’t had to need to use it much as a multi tool-
What has happed to you does not define who you are-
HOW you react to what happens to you DOES!

If you need everything on a $160 Leatherman, then you might as well carry a small toolbox around. I like the Leatherman Sidekick and Rebar and have those in each vehicle, the kayak, and the office.

I have a kobalt from lowes that works great for my needs, wasn't very expensive and kobalt tools have a lifetime warranty.

I've got Leathermans in each vehicle, tackle bag, backpack, etc. They are the more simple models without all the little gadgets. I bought my first over 20 years ago.

OR Leatherman. The lesser quality multitools will break in a heartbeat and the actual "tools" portion are not machined well at all. You can look around and find them online marketplaces and pawn shops for 2/3 less than retail sometimes.

I own Gerbers and Leatherman multi tools. I prefer the Gerbers. They will stand up to hard use in the field

Picked one of these up for $5 on clearance from Wmart last week. I think regular price was $17 Good quality—feels well manufactured Wmart is clearing out their Stanley tools to make room for some new brand

I have a Gerber Suspension but I only bought it for emergencies. If I wanted an everyday tool, I'd spend more than $26.

The Gerber Curve is the best bottle opener I have. Other than a knife, name another tool you really need?

This is the one I carry for fishing. Love it! The flick of the wrist to open the pliers is the deal! The scissors cut braid etc. very nice and clean. https://www.amazon.com/Gerber-Compa...ulti-tool&qid=1581603009&sr=8-17 Have been through two pairs of these in 20 years so I would say they last. That said I use these for fishing, not for like "working". If I was a real man who worked with my hands and I would be using this daily for a multitude of purposes I would get something a bit more rugged. LIkely still a Gerber, I just prefer them to other brands, but a different model. This model is for light duty/fishing use.
