That will be the highlight of Rudolph's professional career.

Early in the season, prior to this event, I was taking in a Browns game due to all the hype. In that game he had multiple personal fouls on the QB, it caused me to come back to the office and inquire to the local Aggie in the office whether or not Garrett had a reputation of being a dirty player. He convinced me that wasn't the case, which was easy because I could careless about Aggie football and hadn't watched much of any of his career. While provoked, I think this event answers my question. I've read that he's the nicest guy off the field. He just flips a switch while on the field. They want them to play like roaring caged animals, but tackle like they are playing flag football.

So it is decided if somebody bad mouths you with the only evidence your late say so you can assault them with football helmet. No, but in the process, if you try and pull the helmet off the person you are bad mouthing but can't get it done and he pulls your own helmet off instead, maybe you shouldn't keep running your mouth and then take a run at him?? I'm not in any way condoning the helmet swing, but it was not just verbally provoked. At least that's how I think it went down but a lot of that is from memory which ain't all that great these days.. Most of the highlight clips don't show what all led up to it.

Rudolph also punch and tried to kick him in the groin prior to the swing. Nothing warrants swinging a helmet at someone’s bare head but Rudolph started the entire thing without doubt.

My point was, that you always get the worst of it when you retaliate. Pouncey was dropping bombs on Garrett when was on the ground. I don't think his punishment fit the crime.

He served his suspension. What's the problem? He just wants to be angry about something...

Shouldn't have been suspended in the first place I could see a couple games, but what he got was excessive.

He served his suspension. What's the problem? 6 games seems a bit light for removing a QB’s helmet and hitting him with it... it’s game, they are supposed to be professional not juvenile He lost six game checks over it. I'm not sure what his salary is. But, I would guess he lost a couple million minimum over it. Not sure if he was fined on top of that. That's a lot more than the average person on the street would have to pay in fines for an assault.

It's hilarious when people expect football players to all be choir boys. 53 players on each active roster. If all 53 were choir boys, it would be one seriously boring sport.
