Hey Folks,
I noticed that my Ultrex seems to drift pretty far off from the point I lock it into (having a buoy near by). I don't have my gps puck installed but was told that only helps with the jog function. I was wondering if anyone did some improvements that helped it stay locked in better? Does the GPS puck help with the spot lock? Any other thoughts?

The puck is a Heading Sensor ONLY. Yes the Heading Sensor helps with the GPS accuracy.

One note of personal experience. The Spot Lock will try to keep you where you were when you pushed the button. Not the 6 feet or so you moved after you pushed the button and started fishing.
I have 2 and they both keep me within about 3'.
