Let the 2020 Tournament Season begin!!!!!

Our first Qualifier Tournament of the season will be held on Lake Palestine on Saturday, February 15th at Lake Palestine Resort.

• As always, we will have 2 Divisions and 100% of entries go into the payouts.
• Lake Palestine Resort will be kicking in an additional $500 in Bonus money that will be added to the payouts!
• CAT members can also receive a 20% discount on lodging at Lake Palestine Resort, if you mention that you are a CAT member when you make your reservation!
• We've added an additional payout place for the 2020 season, so there are even more chances to win!
• All participants in each division that don't win a check go into the Slab Syndicate "Lucky Dawg" drawing at the end of the weigh-in for a chance to win a cash prize!
• Don't forget the Crazy Angler "Crazy 8" Award! The D1 and D2 Teams that are closest to 8 pounds each win a cash prize!
• The top finishing Junior Angler in each Division also wins a cash prize from Thumper's Elite Outfitters!
• Last but not least...well, sort of... The "lightest 7" in each division wins a product prize from Constant Pursuit Outfitters!

Sounds awesome! Folks if you wanna become a better crappie angler there's no better way than this right here! You can read all the forums you want and watch Youtube videos till your blue in the face but nothing will replace time on the water in areas your not familiar with! You never learn much from the days you hammer em, but when you come to weight in dragging up the rear and find out how the folks that came out on top did it it's worth it. Next time you will know what to do!

Palestine has always kicked my rear end, but you can bet I'll be there.

I have searched the site and cannot find the little things like times. When can you start fishing, when do you need to be there for weigh-in. I see general stuff but not those little questions. I am fishing it and just need to know those basic things. I am sure others know this etc, but this being my first tourney I do not know nor see it.

Chris. Go to the website. Click on tournaments. Click on 2020 CAT qualifier tournament rules and you will see the info. Some off the top of my head new folks miss are wear lifejackets and kill switches when the boats on plane. No hiring a guide on tournament lake 30 days before tourney and the lake is off limits Monday though Wednesday before a qualifier. Can start prefishing Thursday. Tourney day can be on water anytime after midnight but no lines in the water till start time. Lines out of water at lines out time and must be checked in at weight in by check in time. Only bring 7 fish to the scales. More than 7 your disqualified. Happens every year. Fish also must be alive. There is no dead fish penalty. Dead fish are removed and you weight in without them. They will not be replaced.

Thank you. I looked at those rules but they do not list times, that is what I was looking for. I spoke with someone today and get the info. The rules page is the rules for all and as I was told this morning the 7 am thing changes during the summer. I could be wrong but I looked up and down on that web site for times and only found the main rules for all tourneys, but no times were listed. Thank you though. Much appreciated.

Chris, under the tournaments tab, go to 2020, then click on tournament schedule and results. That will bring up the page Ahn has pictured above.
And yes, the start and end times do change usually in June. Start time moves up to 6:30 and end time at 2 pm. Just trying to stay out of the heat and start closer to sunup.

Man, I have stared at that stupid picture for months now and did not realize it had start and stop times on it. Was looking for a page that had all the info. So Sorry but thank you for pointing that out. LOL Much appreciated. I feel stupid now. haha.
