Partner and I are going Sunday evening and fishing Monday just for fun. Neither one of us is familiar with the area, I fished there twice 25 years ago. Coming from the Denton area and looking for a place to crash Sunday night, Lufkin our best bet or is there somewhere a little closer? We don't need fancy, we need a place to sleep is all.
See you on the lake and have a great day!

Morgan Creek Cabins is right on Hwy 147 between Zavalla and Cassels Boykin. They are super clean and secure. Check them out on Facebook for some pictures.
The contact is Kristy Bailey 936-208-0455. They are $75/night.

Good choice with Lakeview. The people are real friendly, and helpful. Do yourself a favor and get a burger from them. Honestly one of the best I've ever had.
