What is a good porch paint? The one I used last late year has peeled off in high traffic areas exposing the wood.
I won't buy Valspar again at Ace hardware nor any other better brand. Ace carries bottom of the line paint no matter the brand. JMO

The main thing to consider when painting decks or porches is prep. Good sanding and a good primer will help when getting paint to stay down in high traffic areas.

Another idea is to use a textured paint like a Rhino Line-X type paint. Again the prep work is the most important thing to get done correctly.

I've painted over bare wood every other year but never thought to paint a primer coat. That may be part of the problem.
Plus, when I painted it last year I only used one coat. Would two coats do better ?

Thanks for the advice.

Yes with proper drying times in between coats. Sand old paint and use a good primer. Follow instructions on drying time of primer coat. Also follow instructions on temperature.
