Switched from a bass boat to a bay boat 3 years ago due to spinal surgery and installed a Xi5 trolling motor at the time. Always told myself that I didn't need some shallow water anchors due to having spot lock. Well I picked up these 15' Talons from a member on here and it total changed how I can bass fish. Holding with the spot lock was never an issue but if fishing a wind blown bank you have to point the bow into the wind and fish off the back of the boat. Why the heck I waited so long I'll never know.

Both are great tools to have. Just wish the entry fee wasn't so steep.

Ive had 15 since they came out..

Something I do you may like is I have the foot pad control set for both, and have a mini remote on my deck set for just one. drop the one first if your in wind and let it blow you around so the back of the boat is to the wind and then drop the other to prevent the swinging from gusts etc.. works great. Ill also just drop that one and run my tm to hold myself sideways to a spot on low or spot lock..

I use them all the time.

Thanks for the tip. I have 4 remotes with mine so setting one up like that shouldn't be a problem.
