I could be totally wrong,but I don't think he is at his best with this style and for some reason I get the feeling he may not be as happy as he was.Kinda like G-Man.And I'll go ahead and say it "that was not a bash against the MLF".Just one mans opion,right or wrong.

He used to do pretty good in the MLF events, but those were much smaller groups of anglers. Either way, he’s not leaving MLF since he is an owner. His reputation will be tarnished if he ends up at the bottom over & over. (At least in my opinion)

These lakes a how MLF is done hurts his strengths. He still and alway will be the GOAT

Toyota used to do a lot of scouting for him for upcoming events. Big sponsor/big money at stake.

KVD who? Oh, that guy... he was one of the lemming leaders. His reputation is already tarnished. His legacy is damaged beyond repair and because of such, he won’t be honored nor remembered as one of the legendary anglers of BASS.

It’s a completely different thing than any of the pros are used to. I suspect some are going to flourish some will not have the same success. They get drove in a truck to the lake, have no idea where they are going to fish, no practice time or anything. So it definitely changes things up. I haven’t made up my mind if it’s a luck factor or not when it gets down to the end. Yes obviously they need skills to catch fish, but does someone luck into them that one day having no idea and win. Or it take more skill to practice, find the right fish, and beat everyone over 3 or 4 days?? Because Jeff Sprauge had only had top 10 and top 20 finishes, then he just won the MLF. Maybe he can’t win the 3 and 4 day events like KVD. Maybe KVD needs more than just a day and a blind surprise lake to do good. So it’s all getting jumbled up and flipped around now. But doesn’t mean KVD can’t fish anymore.

These guys are where most of us on here would love to be, getting paid to fish and enjoy life. So whether they are the greatest ever or a 1 hit wonder, they are still on a bigger stage and doing something that they enjoy. Give me KVD's worst day on the lake and I would probably cash a check in most of my tournies.

KVD is just like every fisherman on the planet from club anglers to the top pros. There are going to be good stretches and bad for everyone. He is just different because he has had way many more good times than bad and will keep on as long as he wants to fish and will forever be known as one of the best if not The Best no matter what he fishes.
