I agree that's a good lookin' ride......I understand they are very fast. Why don't we see more of them on the water? Especially here in East TX......I bet I only see 2-3 a year.

I sure don't mean to start a "thing" here but let me say this:

Bass boats are all give and take, right? You can have one that does this or that at the expense of this or that. The true quest for most of us is to find that right one that does what we want slightly better than the rest. That typically comes at a cost of some form whether monetary or otherwise.

An Allison is the baddest of the bad when it comes to speed. If you don't believe so, make one trip to the races and you'll see what I mean. Of course that comes at a cost.... You aren't going to have the storage of a Skeeter. You aren't going to be able to two-step on the front deck like you can on a Ranger. It doesn't traverse Toledo Bend very well in a strong south wind.

Most of us that are crazy fanatical fisherman would feel a bit cramped in the Ally and a bit frustrated in big water when you've got to get across a windy lake.

That's why you don't see many Allisons in my humble opinion.

JB

P.S. Beautiful boat btw!

Agree with almost all of your comments except for the frustration of crossing a windy lake. Years ago had two friends with a XB2002 and a XB2003. Ridden in, fished out of and driven both more times then I can remember. Both will put any bass rig out there to shame when it comes to handling rough water.

With an Allison, you can count on two things....attention anywhere you go and opinions. I’ve had Rangers, Skeeters, Lasers, Bullets, and now, an Allison and I liked them all for different reasons. While the XB21’s are capable of three digit speed, they are designed to be a better fishing boat than the 02 and 03 boats. I love a thread like this to see what folks have. Some great looking boats on here.
