I would estimate the level is within a couple of feet of full pool as of last week. Very possible the lake will be full after today / tomorrow's rainfall. I saw on the local news where they are forecasting upward to four inches by Wednesday evening.

Funny. TPWD has a web page for Lake Gilmer but Texas Water Data doesn't list it.

Be safe,

thanks for the input guys. were heading down to that area next week. not looking for any waypoints or anything just a lake level lol. and Rayzor yeah I looked all over the web and could not find any info on the current lake level. I had imagined it would be close to normal. whether crappie are biting or not well we may find out. We'll be starting at murvaul but have not hear anything about them firing up yet there

I live east of Longview and we have received around 4" of rain already this week with more tonight and Wednesday. Looking at the radar it looks like the Lake Gilmer area has had more than we have. It should be full or above the spillway later this week. Good luck.

I had planned to go check it out today, but just couldn't seem to find free time to escape the office. I would be surprised if it isn't full by now.

This rain will sure help Lonestar as well, both the Big and Little Cypress Creeks are starting to flood.

I was out at Lake Gilmer with GTrigg yesterday and with all the rain, it is full now. I also went out to Welsh yesterday afternoon and it looks like it is close to full now was well. Lots of rigs in the parking lot so someone may report.

Gilmer actually went a lil bit over full but is about back to normal. Lil bit of water going over the spillway about 0430 yesterday morning. Also Lone Star is full again as of Friday morning, but it was muddy which i guess is expected. Gilmer looked somewhat muddy but hard to tell with flashlight. I would watch out on Gilmer, I would expect some floaters here and there.
