earlier thread about MLF having a female referee got me to thinking about my own experience with having a female other than my wife in the boat....I'm curious how others handled the bathroom situation and here is how we handled mine.....all three were interesting and one turned out pretty funny....
my first experience was back in mid 80's when I fished a mid Georgia trail (can't recall the name of it) and they had their classic on lake Russell....you were required to bring an observer who would be paired with another fisherman...I took my son along as observer and a guy I happened to know brought his fiancรฉe and she got drawn with me...
really nice lady probably in her mid 20's...it was late July and temps were in upper 90's...I stopped several times to drink water and each time I would offer her some but she refused...noticed about mid morning that she was getting kind of red in the face and I commented to her that she needed to stay hydrated or risk heat stroke and her comment was that she didn't want to interrupt my fishing by her having to go to the bathroom...
kinda fussed at her a little and told her me stopping and letting her go up in the woods would be a lot less disruptive than having to carry her to a hospital with heat stroke...she was a nurse so she understood the risk, relented and drank some water and I ended up taking her to the bank so she could go up in the woods couple times...

second time I got drawn with a woman it was a redman regional on Sinclair lake in mid Georgia.....this was back before redman changed from draw tournaments to boater/no boater so you had to bring an observer with you that got drawn with another contestant......this lady was wife of one of the regional qualifiers from north Carolina...really nice lady and there is really no woods on the shoreline of this lake so I suggested early on that when she needed to go to the bathroom, just let me know and I would back the boat up into an empty boat house, let her out to pee and I would pull back out til she finished then come back and get her...this worked out well and I think she was appreciative of me doing this for her as opposed to her trying to pee in a cup with all the houses on this lake...
third time was at redman regional on Kentucky lake....same situation where you had to bring an observer and you would get paired with another contestants observer...got drawn with a good looking girl probably in her late 20's..when we were idling around before take-off,several guys made comments about how lucky I was to be drawn with such a good looking woman and several more predicted I would not catch a fish (they were close) and of course she overheard all those comments........
cold as heck that morning and I had a long run up into barkley lake and after I had run about 10 miles,I could tell she was really cold and didn't have warm enough clothes...I stopped and gave her my rain suit and had her sit on the floor facing backwards and she really appreciated that...
wasn't any woods near the bank in the area I fished but didn't bother her-she would just hop on the bank and pee while I looked the other way....
best part was when we came back to weigh-in...I knew all of my friends were going to have some smartazz comments so I asked her to come over and snuggle up to me before we got back to weigh-in area...she wrapped herself around me good and I made couple laps around and through the boats in the marina basin...... I wish I would have had a video of all the looks on guys faces that had made the smart-azz comments that morning...
p.s. I knew this girls boy friend and knew he would take it ok but he did have a funny look on his face when he saw us...

Loved your stories!! Bet those guys sure thought y'all had done some messing around!!!

My wife absolutely hates to go in the woods... she'll hold it all day or darn near die trying. She did use the livewell once before when we weren't catching any fish and we were way away from anyone and she wasn't doing the woods thing. Haven't ever fished with anyone else though.

I swear I've read some hilarious similar stories on here in the past. One particular one comes to mind and I hope the guy posts it up.

female observers bring nice lunches, if they are good.

best story I have is fishing with my wife in Maryland. She had to go bad. We were in the cove by the marine base/FBI training area off the Potomac River.

She took her paper roll and went ashore. In pretty far and behind a tree and I heard a training guy saying loudly move, move, move, move. Sort of what I imagine she was wishing she would do.

They ran right past her and she did "move". Got back in the boat and off we went.

All of that was closed off after 911.

She did get on a bank at Farm 13 in Florida and came face to face with a poisionous snake once. Didn't get anything done on that bank.

She fished the federation as a co-angler many times and just told the boater "Face forward!".

Fished with a female guide on Fork in September of 1990, had my best day ever for numbers and she just sent us to the back deck when she needed a leak.

Used to fish regularly with a female in our local T's. She was a GREAT fisherman and I knew the lakes pretty well. Won a couple of club Ts doing it, actually 1 T and placed 2nd several times. Good fisherman and we fished several times in different trails. She passed away about 11 years ago and I miss fishing with her. Wishy she was still around to chew the fat with. Tight lines, keep safe and good luck.

I fished a bassmaster open with a female on Lew one time, and she pee'd off the boat. She told me that if you haven't seen one of these by now, well it's time. I not gonna say if I snuck a peak or not.....

Easiest thing to do is get a travel container made for females and some kind of wrap like a light weight rain suit and she can go in the container with full privacy. Then dump it and wash out the container. Way easier than trying to find a good place on the bank to go.
