Eufalua "Lunker Bass Capital of the World" ! FAIL. Yes there were some decent fish caught, but lunker capital??
Well, we do have 6 more days to find out. Well Bruce, you have obviously never been to eufaula. The weather that hit this place Tuesday-wed should’ve shut any bite down but eufaula still pumps them out. I am a terrible fisherman and I’ve caught 5 over 6 in the past 2 weeks there. The anglers who drew group B probably are not going to do as well since cold front set in during the day today. That’s why morning was good for some of those guys but not so good in afternoon. Not to leave without mention, I think I had read somewhere the ABA has a tournament starting tomorrow on same fishery.
The pro’s kick it off tomorrow morning after a 2 day delay, it will be interesting to see if the cold front has the same affect on their fishery. At least all of them fish day 1 and are subject to same conditions. That’s another thing weird about MLF format, there is not equal conditions for all anglers until the final day/group. Group B had 7 anglers break 20 lbs, yesterday. Group A only had three break 20 the first day. That's fishing.

Mark, how do the viewer numbers compare for all 3 trails on Southern impoundments vs the “northern swing”? I know that I watch them all until they head north. I imagine the are some completely opposite of that who live up there. Just didnt know if it was pretty much a wash. I probably fall in this camp. Like the show when they fish in the south, but I'm good for about 10 minutes of watching the video game fishing for hundreds of 1# smallies up north..

I’m glad they went to 2 lbs. minimum. I think there will be more folks (diehard bass heads) liking BPT more this year. It’s hard not to like watching those hammers. Just cause they caught a lot of smaller fish their inaugural season doesn’t mean the hammers lost their abilities. The studio coverage is better IMO. That’ said, it’s a good feeling hearing Hite and Sanders on BASS too. I wish they were not scheduled on top of each other

Great coverage by both BASS and BPT. TOUGH fishing, though.

Putting feelings about the BPT aside I am trying to watch it since BASS live just ended. Bass Live Announcers > BPT announcers no doubt.

I'm loving the 2 lb minimum. This has been one of the most interesting MLF tournaments I've seen. I tend to learn more from watching the grinders. The big ones being caught help as well.
