Shouldn't take a super sleuth investigator more than 10 seconds to figure this one out. Gawd I hate the stuff that goes on in that God forsaken place ( I won't even give it the credit or respect of calling it a state). https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/ellen-show-212-500-scratchers-201828311.html

There’ll be an investigation. Ellen and Lottery officials will cite they intended no wrong doing. Ellen will donate to schools, repay the lottery. There’ll be a big banquet and everyone will get a trophy and this story will disappear and no one will be held accountable for the broken laws.
LET’S GO BRANDON!!!

Perhaps we should pay attention to how much Texas spends on advertising and let CA handle theirs. 24.6 million in 2018. It would be interesting to know how Latinworks got the contract.

I remember when the Texas Lottery was sold to the voters as a way to fund public education.

I remember when the Texas Lottery was sold to the voters as a way to fund public education. Yup, it does, at around 3% of what it brings in. It's a joke.

lottery= tax on poor people, think about it. Probably correct. Never seen the stats on who buys but maybe it makes them choose between another pack of cigarettes or a scratch-off.

I remember when the Texas Lottery was sold to the voters as a way to fund public education. You make my work easy today. They always couch lotteries in order to sell the voter as a way to find public education. Only problem from my observations is that lottery proceeds become part of the general education budget at the state level and actually do nothing to impact any additional educational needs. Texas is a perfect example. Our per pupil spending is no source of pride. In short, you can't trust a damned politician for anything. Every one of them has their hand in some lobbyiest's back pocket.

Even when giving education 25% of its revenue, it only funds about 5% of our total public education budget. Texas ranks 43/50 on per pupil spending. How well our students are doing compared to other states, pretty much line up with our education spending.

lottery= tax on poor people, think about it. Yup. The only tax I like - regressive and entirely voluntary.
