The Ray Hubbard Bass Cub will be having our first members only tournament of 2020, Saturday February 8th on Lake Bob Sandlin. Here is the information - • When: Saturday February 8th • Where: Lake Bob Sandlin - Titus County North Ramp (Closest to the dam) • Time: 6:50 AM - 3:00 PM • Registration: 5:30 - 6:30 AM • Entry Fee: $60.00 per boat - 2 person maximumYou MUST be an RHBC member to fish this tournament. We do not accept membership at the launch ramp, so if you want to fish this one, you will have needed to join the Club at our meeting this Thursday night at BPS Garland. Here is a link to the meeting information. Meeting infoRegistration will be at the ramp starting at 5:30 on Saturday morning. When you register you will be given a numbered chip. You will need to to turn your chip in by placing it on the board to get your fish weighed. You will need to get your live well checked and a ribbon tied on to your trolling motor which must remain there until weigh in. You can then launch or trailer and go to your spot. No lines in the water until 6:50. Lines out at 3:00. There will be a 30 minute dead water period where no fishing is allowed at the end of the day. This is to give members time to get off the water, and the TD's time to get the weigh in set up. The chip must be back on the board with the Tournament Director by 3:30. Weigh in will start then. If your chip is not on the board at the specified time, a 1 pound per minute penalty will be assessed. After 15 minutes your catch will be marked as 0. You will be called to the scales by boat number. Leave your fish in the live well until your number is called! Keep the water treated and your fish healthy! See you at the ramp!

Huge turnout to our meeting last night. I think it's going to be a big field for our first tournament of they year. Registration will get started at 5:30. Lines in at 6:50. Lines out at 3. Remember, you CANNOT have your boat inside the white buoys on Monticello Dam! See everyone there!

Congratulations to all those RHBC teams who participated on Bob Sandlin yesterday. I enjoyed my first tournament back with the Club! It was great seeing my old fishing buddies and meeting new (to me) Club members. Thanks to Jay Messersmith for fishing with me on Sandlin. I had a great time and look forward to the rest of the season with Ray Hubbard Bass Club. Big THANK YOU to the Tournament Director and all the Officers who helped with the weigh-in, great job!! See everyone at the next meeting and at Palestine in March!!

42 boats came out to fish on Sandlin yesterday. Great turnout and good weather. We had some monster bags and monster fish brought to the scales including Mr Cartwright's 21.74 limit that included an 8.92 big bass! That was only good for third place! Jim Harcrow and Casey Gaskil won with a huge limit of 24.52 that included a 7.86 kicker. Big bass went to Doug Rener and Andy Medina who weighed in a 9.13 toad. We will have full results and pictures posted this week.
