North unless its a total red dirt muddy mess (<15inch visibility), then its a tossup in my opinion.

Find Cades Lake area up north-water in there stays clearer than main lake around it. Has some grass too. Should be a solid option after the next 3 days of rain. Water still ok in Flat.

Possible, yes, but the odds are probably similar to winning the lottery.

I agree North most of the time but after a big rain that to me hurts the north but helps the south. With that being said I know a couple of guys that always fish south and are always in the hunt. Docks and brush piles a big plus down south. Good Luck.

I agree with that. I grew up on that lake and have had phenomenal days in the back of Kickapoo and Flat, but my best day by far was on new years day a few years ago, way down south. My first 2 fish that day were pushing 20 lbs, one deep on a piece of brush and one under a dock.

I think so. Again to me south gets better after a big rain. You can still catch them up north but you can win it north or south if the bite is on. I have seen 18-20 pounds come off of one dock down south. This time of year also.

Quick update on Palestine-fished both ends of lake. Lots of floating debris from dam to Kickapoo so be careful. South end almost as muddy as north end now. Very cold on south end with all this fresh rain and more expected starting tomorrow. North end a few degrees warmer. South end very slow for us. North end wasn't exactly lights out either but we definitely did better there. We found some clearer pockets on the north end that were protected from the main lake.
