I gave MLF a shot last year and didnt care for it.. I tried again today w/ BASS delayed and I do think they have made changes for the better... it definitely feels more like BASS event with the increased minimum weights (with an hour left only 7 of the 40 anglers would have a 5 bass limit).. not sure how this will play out on different bodies of water or when the weather changes.. but i admit that it was more enjoyable.. it also could be that i am starved for fishing and it is too cold in kansas right now to get out

I am looking forward to Sunday and Monday afternoons when the last 30 min will determine who is cut and who moves on. That's the most exciting fishing there is to watch. But until then I will probably watch BASS this weekend to see a different lake.

Overall I am liking the 2lb minimum. I wonder what the minimum weight will be at Fork in 2 more events.

Maybe this is why they dont have a 5 fish limit in MLF.

Of all 40 pros today, how many had 5 scoreable bass ( a limit in BASS)?

I get some less than 2lbs may have met length requirements.

For those of you talking about social media...I've heard that many pros have someone running their accounts while they are at the events. It may look like they are posting...but its not them. Not sure this is 100%, but I remember hearing this on one of the podcasts early on in the events.

I'll need to look for it...so it's just not another misinformed post. eek

The anglers who drew group B probably are not going to do as well since cold front set in during the day today. That’s why morning was good for some of those guys but not so good in afternoon. Not to leave without mention, I think I had read somewhere the ABA has a tournament starting tomorrow on same fishery.

The pro’s kick it off tomorrow morning after a 2 day delay, it will be interesting to see if the cold front has the same affect on their fishery. At least all of them fish day 1 and are subject to same conditions. That’s another thing weird about MLF format, there is not equal conditions for all anglers until the final day/group.

Disagree.

I thought it was pretty good. Would I sit and watch as primary entertainment? No.

However as something playing on a another monitor while I'm working, it's great.

I'm a fan now. Thanks Big O for bringing this to my attention and fouz for sharing the link. I'll be watching when I can and even suggest it to my bruhs!

I doesn’t really matter about the conditions changing for group b. Your only competing against your group to make the cut.

I kind of laugh at you guys telling me to actually watch it before giving my opinion. First off I’m not an idiot. I have given MLf multiple chances to catch me. It just hasn’t. Also I never said I was better than anyone, but yes, most of them go down the bank doing the same thing most of us do. It’s not entertaining. I choose to watch the guys who have to constantly make decisions on the water to get the 5 biggest they can find.

Excellent opinion. Respect it. No need to keep stating it or commenting on something you don’t care for. cheers

Mark, how do the viewer numbers compare for all 3 trails on Southern impoundments vs the “northern swing”? I know that I watch them all until they head north. I imagine the are some completely opposite of that who live up there. Just didnt know if it was pretty much a wash.

I'll try to remember this and pull some data when they head north.

I am watching again today!

Anyone watching live? I like Skeet Reece have not seen him in a long time. They are showing him fishing now. I really liked some of this rods. Still use a Skeet Reece flipping stick. Its nice.

I dont think I would watch at home, but in the office its awesome to have on in the back. Thanks Big-O! I am a fan now.
