I know some of you guys are streaming pros, and I could sure use some help. I'm trying to set up my elderly mom with streaming TV. She is not good with tech, so I am hoping to find a way to add a bunch of shows and movies to a queue that she can easily choose from.

We have a Roku that is probably at least 10 years old. It works ok, but from what I can tell, you have to search for and find what you want to watch every time you turn it on. I don't see a way to set up a queue or even favorites. I've seen on the internet that there are some roku channels that allow you to build a queue, but I would think you should be able to have a queue across all channels. Maybe on newer devices?

I tried the roku app, but it doesn't seem to offer much. She has a kindle that she can use to some extent, so a good (super easy) app would be a plus.

Any ideas on how to set up streaming for the easiest possible use? I'll buy another device if needed.

Thanks for any advice! ... and my mom thanks you

I like YouTube TV. Paired with a newer smart tv thatโ€™s got YouTubeTV built in and itโ€™s a breeze. Just use the tvโ€™s remote

We have several ways (YouTube TV, YouTube, Netflix, Amazon Prime) that we watch tv. We use Google Chromecast to stream on our TVs. Works well for us. Cast the stream from your phone or device. If you can watch it it on your device, you can cast it via Chromecast.

Just need an open HDMI slot on your tv. Download the Google Home app to set it up.
