WATER LEVEL 1,086.22 Saturday Feb 1, 2020 6:15pm
Level is 30.78 feet below full pool of 1,117.00
WATER TEMP: 56-57

Typical Spring weather on Big Blue lately. Its a warm week followed by a cold front but overall fishing has been good. On the most recent trips weve averaged 25-30 fish per day. Depth has ranged from 5ft to 65ft. Depending on the spot, several baits, crankbaits, Tx rigs, jigs, spoons, and dropshots have all been working. Majority of the grass lakewide is dormant but in some creeks and humps it still exist just not as thick. Shad are roaming deep and mostly suspended. When they arent on the move and you can sit on top of the school there has been a good spoon bite. Stripers and whites were schooling well over the past few weeks but my last couple trips they were scattered and a lot harder to catch. Location location location.. Yesterday myself and Carlos/Karlens Tackle won the Mexican Friendship tournament 3 fish limit with 13lbs. Our best 5 weighed 20lbs..I fished Falcon BassChamps few weeks ago. Finished 23rd with 15lbs.The usual lost fish cost us excuse is at use here but we did. We lost 4 quality fish that would have helped. Overall it was slow fishing for Falcon standards but Im sure its about to explode if not already.

Interested in a trip please call or text (830) 768-3648... www.amistadbass.com Thanks, Stan
