I use a pair of Bates tactical boots. They're goretex. Add thin wool socks when it's really cold.

+2. Donโ€™t wear wool socks with em, your feet will sweat! I wore mine today and it was 31 dg. at launch, warm feet all day.

I live in Texas, not North Dakota...typically if it's under 50 degrees, I'm not fishing...so tennis shoes cover me most of the time.

I have a pair of Merrell boots that are the most comfortable, warm, waterproof boots I have found. I have owned this current pair of the last 4 years hiking, fishing, and work every day during the cold weather and still in great shape and didn't break the bank when I got them at about $89.00.

I use either Muck Boots Fairfield or North Face Artic (thinsulate 200g). Regular socks and no issues with feet sweating.

Have fished in 30* without my feet knowing the temps outside.
