Wife earned a free cruise thru work, going in March. Contemplating the alcohol wrist band. Question is: What is the estimated a la carte price for a bloody, beer, and crown cocktails ?

Royal Caribbean out of Fort Lauderdale.

Carnival you cant go anywhere on the ship without someone shoving a drink your face. Don't get me wrong that's cool and all, but seems like the daily special drinks were 7 bucks a pop if you kept up with your cup and that was cheap drinks.

We just came back from a Carnival cruise and i spent about $250 on booze for the four days. Most of their drinks are from $7-$12 depending on what it is. I also took a half a gallon of Seagrams with me so that helped out a little on my alcohol bill.

Get the shampoo bottles on amazon that you fill up with booze and seal. Then take what you want on the boat.

Also heard that they will limit you to like 12 drinks a day with the pre purchased plans... What am I going to do after breakfast?

the drink plans are overpriced to me. Sure you might make up for it on the days at sea, but when in port most the day you will be off the boat. Last cruise we wnt on was Norgeian in 2014 I was drinking jack and coke doubles and they were like $7 each. I really only drank while I was at the craps table. I'll drink a ton when I drink, but I didn't feel the need to start drinking when I woke up as a lot of folks on a cruise do. They make it till about 2pm then they are done for the day. I enjoy doing stuff on the boat when at sea and don't have to drink to do it.

You will need a huge reel with lots of string to reach the water for some trolling

and you have to buy the package for each person in the room assuming it's the same as Norwegian. That again made it a bad deal cause there was no way my wife could drink 15 drinks a day, plus she had just found out she was pregnant on our last cruise, and didn't have a note from a doctor to prove it to get her out of having to buy the drink package.

My wife does not drink but for our Royal Caribbean cruise in August I was able to buy the drink package just for myself and the deluxe soda package for the wife by calling Royal Caribbean. YMMV
