Those are awesome Michael!! I’ve found some smaller striper on Whitney. Nothing that size yet.

Michael, what launch were you able to launch at up the river?

Are you able to get all the way to Kimball Bend from Plowman Creek by boat?

Hardline, Yes, I launched at Kimball Bend and drove past Plowman 2 weeks ago... in a 4000# boat. Doing it again tomorrow. I'll let you know otherwise.

Would love a report, as I am planning to be there Saturday morning. Good luck!

I should be able to make that happen. We were there 2 weeks ago and the crappie were on fire. That was fun! At that time there were a few reports of white/striped bass up there but not many. Shad in the river channel has been super thick on sonar since Dec. The pics say it should be close to prime time!

Keep us posted. Ill have a chance this weekend to make a trip. We launched out of steel last weekend and killed the whites there. I went north as far as lakeside and marked a bunch of bait and a few fish but didn't catch and striper. Live bait or artificial if you don't mind me asking?

Both actually. We got hits on some minnow and they were just as hot on the jig.
