I am wanting to go to Mexico. I mentioned it to my wife and she said she would like to go. I was wondering what would be a good resort down there that would be the best to take her? I don't know anything about fishing down there or the camps, so any help will be appreciated.

Be careful. I’ve been across to Sugar Lake just down from Falcon and it’s a little dicey at the border. If you want a full service and as safe a trip as you can plan for....is still Mexico https://www.anglersinn.com/

What kind of fishing? The two lakes I have fished for bass there is a camp and that is it. There is no where to go off the water. So if bass is what your looking for and your wife or you want night life you are not going to find it. If you want to go to a resort, we have stayed in Playa del Carmen and it was really nice but you don't really want to leave the resort. You could saltwater fish. My wife has been to Cabo with here friends and she liked it there also. Mexico is tricky right now. It can be fun but can also be dangerous.

How many days can you get away and are you willing to make the drive. I have taken many couples including my wife to Lake Oviachic over the last 35 years. It is a wonderful trip getting to see the way the people live and work along Hwy 15 from Nogalas, AZ. to the lake which is a 7 hour Mex. drive from the boarder. We will be fishing for 6 days then make the return trip. It is an 11 day wonderful vacation. I can make arrangements for the owner of Marana Del Ray to take your wife to Obregon shopping and a tour of the City. They will have a great day; as my wife has been on this shopping spree many times. Blanca is the owner and will be a great hose for your wife. She is well educated with an Accounting Degree. Her Husband Angle suddenly passed away last year leaving her with the Lodge to run and what a job she is doing.

good morning,
just back from Comedero, ladies are welcome at all camps that I have been to. you can fly to regional airports in mexico. they will pick you up an transport you to the camp. most camps have daily fresh linens and plenty of hot water, etc. so your wife will be happy. Most camps have great food and limited TV and wifi. all camps have bass boats. Just do your research. best chances for a bass of a lifetime is Baccarac( 10 plus).
good luck. PURA VIDA, bluebonnet2

Donald Harper would be my choice. My buddy is on his way there as I write this post. Bad weather getting out of the metroplex yesterday slowed them some.
