So lately I've noticed this happening as I drive.... a lot. I will be in the right hand lane doing whatever, 70-75 and will have a car either come up behind me or on the left then immediately get over in the right hand lane right in front of me, sometimes 10-15 yards in front of me. Sometimes to the point where I have to tap the brakes even though I have been in the right hand lane the entire time and on CC. There will not be anyone in either lane ahead and usually no-one pressing them from behind, maybe for roughly 100 yards or more. They can just keep going in the left lane or go up ahead and then get in the right. Why in the world do these people need to dive in front of me? We are getting stupider as a peoples.

Yes people are getting dumber everyday.

Since my unmarked Tahoe has hidden "red & blues" I have a lot of fun popping them on when someone does that or tailgates me.

I think it's the wind resistance. Your vehicle is parting the air and when they pass you on cruise they loose speed a little when they are in front.

But you see it happen all the time.

This is especially notable when the road has a water on it but the rain has stopped.

I always enjoyed it when in the semi, doing that right in front of 40 tons proved their stupidity

They probably feel safer being in front of you as opposed to being behind, they were behind watching you digging in that sack of donuts.

And if the lead car slows up you can bump draft him or put him in the wall. Neither of which I would recommend in this day and age. Society has lost it's sense of adventure.

Yea...You just get him a little lose in the turn and punt his arse into the wall. I do it all it the time in the high 5.

Nothing new around here. For some reason slow drivers can't stand to be behind a truck. Hook a boat to the trunk and the issue grows exponentially. I think it's Californians with Beto stickers.

Yes, this is a problem. I use cruise control all of the time and this "phenomenon" just makes me lose it. If I'm going 70, you pass me, then get in front of me, then I end up passing you again without ever touching my gas pedal, you deserve to drive off a bridge.

I miss the Beto stickers... marked which chicks were down to party. If she smokes or has a Beto sticker, she is a contestant.
