I am in no way affiliated with Dobyns rods, but they are all I use. If you are active duty or retired military or first responder you get 30% off any Dobyns rod. If you've never tried them, you should. It also applies to baits and apparel. Call them at 903-919-8028.

Zach will they still not let you buy rods at the "shop"? I stopped in shortly after they opened up and they sold me spinner baits, but wouldn't sell any rods...

Zach will they still not let you buy rods at the "shop"? I stopped in shortly after they opened up and they sold me spinner baits, but wouldn't sell any rods... I just bought an 805 and used the BBC10 discount on the Tackle Trap, I had no idea I could have gotten a much bigger discount, oh well, I do now!

I'm not sure if you can buy them at a dealer. Call directly 903-919-8028. Tell them about the discount and you'll probably just send a copy of your ID and you'll get the discount.

Hmmmm...wondering if I would have saved money over the years retiring as an engineer and taking up a job as a first responder?

Call up there and talk to the girls... they will tell you exactly what you need to do to get the discount. More company’s should get on board with these promotions.

I just bought a new rod at the shop yesterday. FYI they are closed on Saturday and Sunday.

I talked to customer service today. He said you have to calll the number I provided. They don't offer the 30% discount in stores. All you need is a copy of your military or first responder ID.
