I also have new knees. Makes a person not so ready to jump here or there anymore. Anxious at times.
I bought an 3 step easy step (from Sarten Marine) and installed it on my Bumble Bee. Worked out great. Then took it off the Bee and put it in my new (to me) Ranger. Still works pretty darn good.
I wouldn't be able to get in the boat without out. What people don't realize and the doctors don't tell you is that kneeling with artificial knees is a painful experience. I am going to have knee replacement soon. So you can’t kneel down without pain? Dr never said anything about that kind of stuff. Was it worth it or not?
I got all day I’m retired

I've had Easy Steps on my last 3 boats and love them! The newest models are the best they've ever built as the a stronger and fit just about every boat trailer made. They also have you coming up more on the side of the boat rather than having to step over your graphs or trolling motor.

I had both of my knees replaced in the spring of 2017 and it was the best move I ever made. I was to the point of having to walk with crutches to get around. My new knees were very tender when kneeling they were not painful but more like hitting ur funny bone. Now 2 1/2 years later they have gotten much better and are not so tender when kneeling they are not as good as before the replacement but still not too bad. My biggest problem is that I don't have enough strength in my calf muscles to lift my body weight up. I built a set of trailer steps for my Skeeter out of scrap square tubing that I had laying around. For me replacement was a life saver.

Hey wild bill,
Here is one I just put on my trailer and love it. 300lb capacity and bolts on. Easy breezy.

Anyone ever put steps on a Skeeter Bay Boat? I have an SX240 and am investigating fitment. Most seem to be designed solely for “bass” boats.

if it takes weldlng and cutting do IT! Two replaced knees and I transferred my 3 step "easy step" from one trailer to another it wasn't made for. As long as it works just do IT!

I have a 2010 Skeeter ZX 22 Bay Boat and put a set of easy steps on it when I got it. Had a pair on the bass boat before but they would not fit the bay boat. good investment call easy step and tell them what you have and they will tell you which set you need. Would post a picture but don't know how.
