The cranking battery in my 13month old boat died on the water today. The boat has a 115 Yamaha and came with a “PowerVolt” group 24 marine cranking battery. It was dark and I couldn’t see the battery ratings. Voltage was down to 10.7 on a meter when I got home.
I’ve got 2 7 inch Lowrance graphs and a 9 inch Garmin with a Livescope module. I had only been fishing for 5 hrs today and the boat stays plugged in when not in use. I think the livescope is too much of a draw with the other graphs.
It looks like I could go with a little longer battery, but no taller and not much room to go wider.
What’s my best non lithium option? (Brand and size). AGM or conventional?
Thanks in advance.

Northstar AGM if you can afford it.
If the fish don't bite your not baiting right...

Thanks for the recommendations. I ended up buying a group 31 Duracell AGM tonight at Sam’s. I did some research and they are made in the US by East Penn (makes Deka batteries). The CCA and reserve capacity ratings are excellent. My concern with buying an Odyssey or Northstar is finding a dealer if I have warranty issues. There are Sam’s clubs all over the place.
