I'm supposed to weight 122-164 lbs. I was 185 in HS and rock solid. I've power lifted a lot in my days and look damn good at 220lbs. Of curse I'm heavier now, but working on it. I'm down 23lbs and going. I would look sick at 164 lbs and 122 I'd be dead.

I'm down 23lbs and going. I would look sick at 164 lbs and 122 I'd be dead. This It says 133 to 179. I'd literally be dead at 133. At 179, I'd look like I had AIDS. I played outfield in college and did nothing but sprints for about 5 hours a day at practice and weighed 185 and looked sickly. I didn't have a ton of muscle, but I was down under 10% body fat. I'm at 220 now and I'd be about right at 190 lbs. The BMI is a fine guide if your body is average density, but not everyone is and it's become an overused metric. I know a lot of people that fit into the overweight and obese categories that are not overweight or obese.

The current standards in the US are almost unrealistic.
If a person wants something to follow I suggest lookingup a BMR calculator and being honest when you answer the questions. It will help give you a basic idea on how much daily caloric intake you need.
