We've all been asked this before, especially at the boat ramp. I had this question asked of me today as I was entering the restroom. I replied and went to take care of my business. When I got back to my car, my Wife asked me if someone had asked me about our fishing day. I said yes, why? She said the people putting their boat stuff away that was close were laughing at and dissing what I had told the guy at the bathroom.

There are 2 guys that fish the mouth of one cove using a drop shot. They know what they are doing and pull in large numbers of bass. When I asked them how many they caught 2 weeks ago and they said 80, I didn't scoff at them. I knew they were being straight with me. I've see them catch a lot of fish.

To the three guys in the parking lot. I have been fishing Lake Bastrop for about 12 years now. If you ask me "did I have any luck" and I tell you a large number, you can take it to the bank that I am telling you the truth. Just like you can believe me when I tell you that I stunk it up. Your lack of fishing expertise and knowledge of this lake is the reason why you don't do well. The amount of fish I caught today was not my personal best. I've caught more and also a lot less. Your lack of belief is not going to stop me from catching fish. Out.

Be safe,

Those guys just didn't get enough information to make them happy. A LARGE number was funny to them; with no explanation. I understand that you didn't have time to talk with the restroom calling. What I have found is that our fellow fisherman at the ramp, face to face, expect as much information as possible and I have always tried to share that information. Now preparing for a Tournament was a whole different situation; as you never know what they are preparing for.

You should put the best 5 in your livewell and take a picture holding them all at the end of the day even though you were fun fishing. That way we know the water is your stadium bruh. woot

In all seriousness don't sweat it. You know what you caught and that is all that matters.
