What's fisherman's opinion on this program. It seems like a fun deal to be getting involved in.

If you frequently fish one of the lakes thats included, its kind of a no brainer to pay the $50 entry fee. I was once that guy that caught a tagged fish and was not entered.

I tagged most of the fish the first year that he held it on Sam Rayburn. I know Darold Gleason has been involved with the tagging process at Toledo bend and Rayburn as well. I can personally verify that it is legit if anyone has any concerns about fairness or credibility.

I've also seen two guides at Fork tagging the last few years and I know they tag a bunch of fish. They had a quota for how many fish they needed to tag.

FWIW, the guy who thought of it and runs it is my best friend. He is 100% honest man and works his tail off to keep it legit. There has been several try to copy his method (I.e. Lake Conroe) but half assed it and it quickly failed. I promise you Bass Cash Bash is ran the correct way and if you have any issues contact PD and he will do what it takes to fix any issues you might have. BTW I do not profit in any way other than seeing my buddy enjoy doing something he loves.

I caught a tagged fish off of a bed twice in twenty minutes last year and wasn't signed up.

My question is for the guides tagging the fish. Are they allowed to take clients out to fish and be qualified for the prizes?

I caught one of the Sam Rayburn tagged fish last year after the tournament was over. Told myself I would make sure to sign up in the future. If you are going to be fishing anyway might as well sign up. Would not be good to catch a ram truck or phoenix boat tagged fish and be that guy who didnt enter.

I have signed up every year on Rayburn, haven't caught one but for less than what I spend in gas in one trip its a no brainer.
