Myself and buddy Jeff Kayaked a local river and fished a couple of marked locations. We fished from 10am till 2pm and caught 12 Bluegill, 4 Redear, 23 Crappie, and 4 Large Mouth Bass. The sunfish were all in the 8-10 inch range. The Crappie were in the 12-15 inch range, and the bass were between 2-4 pound range. All fish were released. Fish were caught in 16 to 18 feet of water holding by structure. Jigs,Chartreuse/Black and Chartreuse/Pink got the best results. Also small spinner baits and crank baits got fair results. All fish were released. Water was stained due to resent rains and we did not see anyone on the water during our trip. Love those peaceful Thursday's. woot

Nice report Laker. You guys are having a great winter for sure! Good job guys.

Side Note: Were the bass hanging by the brush piles or were they suspended? Also any of the bass caught on crank baits?

Bass were all suspended in about 8 feet of water. We did catch all but one bass on the crank baits. The other was caught on a jig at the bottom.
