Doors work fine etc. The crew from perma pier were really courteous and professional. Well worth the money in my opinion. The jack leg cheapos were terrible. Get it done right. I can get you names and numbers if you like.

I would love names and numbers sir.

First I called Crosstown Engineering - Adam Green (469) 751-7694
Then, after his assessment,

Hired Perma Pier to do the work. They are one of a few that were recommended.

Perma Pier (214) 637-1444 - specifically Pedro Gonzalez (806) 239-0242

Prior to this, prior to 2017, I paid a jerkwad company twice $3k each time who unknowingly made matters worse.

Perma Pier and Crosstown are professionals.

Crosstown here now. Praying we can get this fixed.

Yes, both of them. PM me if you have any questions.

Either one have been around a long time, and both are reputable.

Permapier started today to the tune of $12k.
Quick question. I understand cracks will happen during the lift whichIs cosmetic and fixable but if doors opening and closing actually gets worse, can that be fixed?

Lifting the foundation can fix doors or make them worse. Sometimes what fixes the foundation can make doors worse due to the wood frames warping over time. If doors are sticking/not closing after the lift is completed, you may need to have the doors (strike plate, frames, etc) adjusted.

Regardless of who installed piers to lift and level the house ,if you do not correct the problem that caused it to settle to began with you will have problems in the future.

Installing piers around the exterior will only stabilize the perimeter beam, if lack of moisture caused it to settle to began with the interior portion of the house will settle or dish if the cause is not corrected.

Its not always the foundation repair companies fault if settlement continues over time. You really need to understand the source of the problem, the bandaid(piers) does not solve the problem permanentley.

did you have a static test on the plumbing done before the lift or just waiting till it is done?

According to my quote a pre plumbing test was to be done but I didn’t see anyone do it. Will ask today.

We have had great results from G.L. Hunt . We have a older home that is pier and beam as well as clay soil that expands up to 5 inches according to the engineering results . Every few years G.L. Hunts has to come back out and make some adjustments when a door gets tough to open .

Yes a pre and post work hydrostatic leak test. I paid a plumber. It was $500 for that test. Perma Pier said they would do one, but I thought 3rd party would be a good check and balance.
