I was four but I don’t remember it.
Edit: I was three and a half. Same. I was around 3.5 and don't remember it. Props to Ratz for remembering at 4yrs old.

Also, if you get the chance to see one of the shuttles up close do it. Far more impressive than I imagined. As American as apple pie!

I was in the break room at LTV Aerospace in Grand Prairie (company built some parts for that Shuttle) and saw it live on the TV. As you can imagine, there was an incredible range of emotional responses thru out the facility once word got around about what had happened.
