Yeah I was going to try tapping in to hers first because otherwise we have to from the blacktop where the meter will go and get our own line which is what i'm guessing we will have to do. I've calculated the elevation change and it isn't much at all. 7' maybe?
I don't mind doing things myself and i'm capable of digging a trench and running a water line but at the same time not too swift when it comes to GPM or intricate numbers to make sure we have enough pressure.

If it were me, I'd run whatever I deemed appropriate on top of the ground until I had a chance to test it out. Then either bury it or get a pro to figure it out.

No offense but you may want to look at calculating a fixture count of the house you want to build and then given the distance, 1 inch of either poly or PVC probably is going to be too small. Maybe 1 1/2 to 2 inch line size. We use 2” to run 1/2 mile.

Do not use the 10" pvc. Get the 20" and eliminate half of the possible leak sources. And get the glue from a plumbing store, not the stuff sold at McCoys. You will thank yourself for doing so.

So initially i'm probably going to tie into her line because we only need to supply water to our camper.....the line is about 1/2 mile with a slight elevation. Once we build our house in 5-6 years I will get a meter and go that route. Tying in to her line should be okay for simply supplying our camper i'd think......?
Run 2" poly or pvc to where our camper will be located? Should the diameter of PVC or poly decrease the closer I get to where the camper/house will be?

I wonder if we installed a big water storage tank and a pump from that going to the house if that would increase water pressure? Water pressure from that tank to the house or camper would be okay wouldn't it?

If you are in city limits you may need to check with your local building code authorities. Many municipalities do not allow Schedule 40 PVC supply lines not matter the sized.

You need to get water fixture units and distance and pressure if you can give me those p.m. me and I can tell you what size water line to run

You have to add up your water fixture units that you're going to be using and the distance and the meter signs and develop arranged PM me I have the calculations if you need them
