I don't remember hearing Z-Rock until the early 90's. I think they started around 85. If its to LOUD, you're to OLD!

went to one at tulsa fairgrounds in the 70s, edgar winter, leon russell, zz top, I think ac/dc and a couple of other name bands (I don't remember much past the zz top sets). 2 days, camped in front of the stage. rode a sportster from okiecity up and back. sex, drugs and rocknroll baby! You went to a Texas jam in Tulsa?

I don't remember hearing Z-Rock until the early 90's. I think they started around 85. If its to LOUD, you're to OLD! About 25 years ago I was on a deer lease in Hamilton County. The only halfway decent FM stations I could pick up down there were an all 70's station and Z-Rock out of Austin.

Before new fangled FM radio, it was the mighty 1190 KLIF . I loved Granny on KLIF, and and on WBAP the Hiney Wine commercials with Ophelia and Seymore Hiney.

Q 102 threw a Beach Party at Dallas City Hall one summer is 86 or 87. They had sand all over the place and people were swimming in the fountains. It was a party and back then drinking and driving was legal.
