Can you Trrrova I Pilot owners give me some reviews of how you like it? How well the Spot Lock holds position?

I have an 80lb saltwater version and like it. I didn’t get a foot pedal and just use the remote. Mine is a 2nd generation and the spotlock works great, just realize that the back of the boat will swing around in high winds with with any of them. The trolling motor stays over the spot where you lock it. I have heard that the 1st gen spotlock didn’t work as well.
Spotlock and Livescope have really changed how I bass fish. I’m amazed at how often I can sit in one spot and catch catch 10-20 bass without moving. Makes me wonder how many fish I used to pass by and keep going.

I also have a 2nd generation Terrova. The spotlock works great. I'm very happy with it.

I have a terrova, most likely first-generation and the spot lock works great..works best with some wind, however, if the water is fairly calm it will wander around a bit..but still keeps you in the vicinity, I also have the foot pedal but use the remote 99 percent of the time very easy to navigate with the remote from any fishing position. The only issue I have with the terrova is the deploy and retrieval, I am older and leaning over and down can be a little akward when the water is choppy....never have taken a dive but have come close a few times...

Love mine, all the above is right on. Spot Loc is amazing, and the remote was changed to triple A's and last much longer and cheaper
than the first gen camera type batteries. I'm amazed that the trolling motor can go all day and use very little battery juice...Love mine.

hooked

The only problem I had was I was running a Garmin93 on the bow, with the transducer mounted on the bottom of the trolling motor.
For 6 months, and trying all the remedies I could not get the interference out of the Garnim, everytime the trolling motor would run,
the screen would pick up static/white noise,....Finally took it back to BPS and got a HB Helix 9,..works fine...

Running a 55lb G2Terrova with I-link and BT on a 1648 G3 jon, and love it! Only thing that could have been better would have been an Ulterra so this old man with a bad back wouldn't have to get out of my seat roflmao. I did call Minn Kota about producing a 55lb/12-volt Ulterra as I'm trying to keep the weight down in the boat. Guess it's not due anytime soon. Hence, my decision to buy a Terrova.

My biggest thing with my Terrova is the Ipilot Navigation. I have found no use for the ADVANCED setting because it seems to run around everywhere but where I want to go. I did set up my phone to work with it today and saw there was an update. Hopefully the update helps. Spot Lock is almost perfect for me.

I would rather ditch my sonar than my Terrova iPilot. Huge game changer.
