How do you know what those taste like?

They used to put them in tacos in Via Acuna Boy's Town. They weren't bad after a hard night's drinking. The aftertaste the next day was what would get you, though.

I have to say it is NOT cheaper than real meat. Maybe it will be at some point but for now, now way, it costs more.

The Fiance she does not eat beef at all for religious reasons, she is almost a vegetarian... so we eat lots of fish, "fake meat", and occasional turkey or chicken. Better for the planet and for your health. I will still have a steak now and again but have cut way way down on red meat in the last few years.

I agree that it's probably better for your health but how is not eating beef better for the planet?
Is it the cow fart thing?

Most of my current meat intake is wild pig so I consider that helping out the planet.

There is no real evidence that cattle contribute to anything detrimental to the planet. Likewise, there are just as many studies out there supporting eating red meat as opposed to a diet consisting of primarily chicken and fish.

One of the arguments you continually hear from the Vegan community is “Well I’m so against corporate farming, etc” The funny part is all of those “corporate farm” owners also own the companies that make the fake meat. Some of the largest cattle feeding companies started out and remain grain/commodity companies first. It is an easy investment into plant based meat. Either way they make money hand over fist.
