One of the better dinners I have made, circa 2018.

Eating healthy is difficult, and expensive unless you can eat celery and cucumbers everyday

I disagree, I've mentioned many times on here to read Genius Foods. You can cook and prepare healthy food that tastes great. I do get if you eat a lot of sugar cutting that out is hard because carbs and sugar act the same way most drugs do, you become addicted and reliant on it. In the book they explain that is studies sugar was more addictive than cocaine. Once you get over the hump you get to where eating sugar makes you feel awful and even lose the sweet tooth. With that said I wat very healthy and allow myself some cheat meals on occasion but not often.

I do eat healthy but I try not to tell others what they should or shouldn't eat even though they often ask how I stay slim. Finding the right balance between calories in and calories burned is the key for me.
I love bacon but I haven't ate salad in almost 2 years.

I'm trying that. Not as easy as saying furgttaboutit but I'm working hard to drop some weight.

Like anything else, a little time working on your (cooking) skills can really pay dividends. Healthy doesn't have to be kale chips and quinoa. You can really elevate basic dishes with better/fresh ingredients. I'm no chef, but changing up somethings has really given the wife and I a new lease on dieting/health. For example, ditching the bagged salads and chopping your own really gives salads a much fresher taste. YMMV.

Biggest thing you can do is plan ahead and be prepared. Don't wait until its 6pm and you're hungry to decide what you're going to eat for dinner.

if you knew what they use to preserve the bag salads you would probably puke, same thing restaurants use and even just a little too much tastes nasty.

Much good advice here.

Sugar should be illegal. Ha. I switched to honey several years ago, well I have honey when I have coffee.
Soda/carbonated water is a deadly combination.

Main thing is to plan and prepare as 96 stated. Spices are your friend. Other than that portion and moderation.
If you eat portions that your body needs you will find the balance. Occasionally you can have something you used to love, but will find once your body recovers from the constant bad stuff, those things won’t be as good as you remember. Then, get some exercise, move, and just be active.

Luke 6:22-23

22 Blessed are you when people hate you,
when they exclude you, insult you,
and slander your name as evil
because of the Son of Man.

23 Rejoice in that day and leap for joy. Take note—your reward is great in heaven, for this is the way their ancestors used to treat the prophets.

I eat healthy, too but don't want anyone to know. They might see it as a sign of weakness. I read some time ago heavy beer drinking is hard on the prostate. I switched to lite beer just in case.
