call it what you will...he is not definitely not anywhere near the top of the list for QB's that I would choose needing a FG or touchdown drive late in the game.

Thanks for posting that. Interesting lady and interesting the way her life was shaped by legislation.

Socks... I bet she'd do well selling socks. Nothing like some clean wool socks on a trip like that.
Root beer is ok. Regular beer and socks is where the money is at for.

I did the boundary waters trip twice when I was at Camp Lincoln and once with my dad. You canoe the finger lakes portaging from one to another. It was an amazing experience every time. Northern Pike was the fresh food we ate. Everything else was freeze dried. Anything canned was too heavy. All food was hung from ropes in a tree to keep the bears from getting it. We would go days without seeing people. Not sure what it is like now, but back them you were in the wilderness the way the Indians lived.
I feel lucky to have met Dorothy Molter, drank her homemade root beer and left a paddle with my name on it. When I met her, she was close to the end of her life, but still going strong.
The solution to any problem - work, love, money, whatever - is to go fishing, and the worse the problem, the longer the trip should be. --John Gierach

Did the Boundary Waters and the Quetico 9 times. I was in amazement that after you got past the border and no motors allowed area you could dip your cup over the side of the canoe and drink the water with no ill effect.
