I just ordered the transducer from Humminbird. And as I looked at the array of choices on the page I can clearly see the DI in my case is also a dual spectrum CHIRP transducer. So I should be good to go albeit $260 poorer.

Good deal. The Dual Spectrum HW piezo is Low-Q CHIRP rated like an AIRMAR.
Dual Spectrum means the unit has settings to use the upper end or lower end of the CHIRP range or the whole CHIRP range of 140-240 kHz.
Prior units chirped the 83/200 kHz piezo in the transducers called Dual Beam, including the US2.

I currently have a 998c si at the console linked to a terrova i-Pilot. I recently purchased a helix 7 sI gen3 for the bow. Is there a cable available to link the to units without the Ethernet switch.

IF the Helix 7 is a G3N you can link them with an Ethernet cable and an Ethernet Adapter AS EC QDE on the Helix .

If it is the G3, it cannot be linked with any method.

You state you "believe" the Terrova is linked to the 998, don't you know?

IF your Helix is a G3N, you can connect all three devices via Ethernet.
To do that you need the AS ETH 5PXG Ethernet Switch.
Each device would connect to the Switch with an Ethernet cable===total of three Ethernet cables.

I've had the transducer and Y cable for Mega 360 on backorder for a while now. I ordered these items from Anchor Express which upon shipment saves perhaps $75 off the cost I've seen in several other sites and I don't have to pay sales tax (for a thousand dollar plus cost item). But my reason for posting is after being placed on backorder and seeing two delays in shipping at first from late December to early January and now delayed to late February, Anchor Express indicates there is a component problem with the system which is delaying shipment. So I'm assuming all of you who have ordered this system are seen similar delays. If not I don't really understand the delay. I was an early user of Ultrex and that sucker was put on backorder for months.

Yes there is/was an issue getting parts. From what I have seen is distributors are getting some now.
When and from where you ordered would determine your ship date.

It works great:

Holy [censored] this is confusing. What would you recommend for a long time fisherman but new to all this? I have an Xpress boat on order with a Helix 7 and ipilot ultrex.

My Mega 360 transducer has now been on back-order since November. Anybody getting these? I'm convinced it's tied to Chinese manufacturing.
