So I have been fishing Squaw for about 5 years, Largest bass being 7.5# and few 6s,5s which were all caught at least 3 years ago. I am curious what has been the largest bass you have caught out there within the last 2 years? We all know it is on a decline, so no need to express reasons why. Just curious.

I heard there was a pic of a big bass caught from the bank at the guard shack. Someone said it was 9lbs... I have not see it and it was caught not to long ago... The bank fisherman took it to the skillet...

I caught a 7.5 four years ago. Lately only 5s and an occasional 6. Most are less than 3.

I used to direct the Western Bass OPen back in the 90's when big fish were caught. the first year I did the weigh in I didn't think about wearing gloves. 200 teams with 5 bass each, all 5-9 lbs. I couldn't write for a week my hands were so raw. the good ol days... I would start walking the line, waking everyone up collecting entry fees from 1am till launch. man I used to piss some people off waking them up while in line. fish

My biggest was a 6.5 caught 2 years ago. Lots in the 5 lb range last year, but only one fish touching 5 lbs this year for me out there. The average size of the cookie cutters in the areas I fish seems to have gone up a little.
