2020 skeeterHow much do you have to hate your purchase to take the kind of hit whoever traded this in took? OUCH!! I guess it's similar to the eyes are bigger than the stomach thing. It's be interesting if it was the boat that sucked or the payments (or the wife). I think those things list at near ninety but were selling for 70 something at the Houston Boat Show.

Listing it at 63 so I say they probably gave them 53 on trade. Doubt its a wife thing, pros choice wants nothing to do with yamaha. They won't even order one if I remember right. Just nuts.

I didn't know Ranger made a pontoon boat. And they were pretty reasonable. You can tell my next boat will be a Tritoon.

Since they were released the end of last summer its probably a demo or one used for commercial. catalog, PR etc.

It's pending so somebody noticed the smoking deal. But to list for almost $90K......  What would you say depreciation would be for a boat that expensive for the first couple of years, about $8K a year for the first three and then taper off?

It is shocking what used boats are selling for these days. A good friend of mine traded his 2017 FX21 on a 2020 FXR 21 at Plano Marine just before Christmas. His 2017 FX 21 was pristine and he had bought it there. It had everything but power poles. They gave him $53K for it!! He paid $83 for his new FRX 21. He had them take off the PP's and add an extra graph.

Whatever they got on trade in add another 6.25%, to get the real number, because you're only taxed on the difference. Also, if you can't pay cash generally the rates are better on a new boat.
Having said that, I have never bought a new boat because the depreciation is too much for me to stomach.
