Has anyone heard anymore about the rumor that the power plant at Martin Lake is going to be shut down?

Won't be anytime soon. The last mine at Martin Lake is not scheduled to close until the summer of 2022 and the plant also runs on Wyoming coal which is pretty much an endless supply if they can afford to keep railing it down here. However, it's a new world every morning!

Hey, go ahead and close it down! They've built a brand new, eco-friendly unit to replace it! Oh....wait a minute....no they haven't. Just like they don't have new units to replace any of the power plants that have been shut down. But that's okay. Just charge more or have brown outs.

Be safe,

How exactly are we supposed to cool our homes when coal plants shut down and alternative power plants aren't yet up and running? Or does that matter to anyone?

Maybe if it somehow impacted some politician there wouldn't be a problem. We just have to enjoy them while they're still there.

My great grandparents and my grandma lived with no AC... there are other options, it just might not get you down to 68 degrees.
